Happy Holidays from Everyone at PRMS

As part of PRMS’ ongoing commitment to support mental healthcare and in the spirit of giving, we are pleased to announce our annual #GivingTuesday support of three organizations working to improve mental health and wellbeing in communities across the country.
This year, PRMS is proud to support Arlington Food Assistance Center, World Central Kitchen, and The Trevor Project – each organization recognizes the unique challenges faced by different members of society, from our local community to children and youths to those affected by war and natural disaster, and we are honored to highlight their missions this holiday season of giving.

PRMS Employees donated 779 food items for a total of 660 pounds to AFAC this November.
Arlington Food Assistance Center
Located in Arlington, VA, the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) has been feeding neighbors in need and providing nutritious supplemental grocery items since 1988. With PRMS also based in Arlington, we’re proud to support an organization that has served more than two million families over the past 37 years. AFAC’s mission, as stated on their website, is “to provide our neighbors in need with dignified access to free, supplemental groceries,” distributing over 4 million pounds of groceries annually to families in Arlington County and the surrounding region. The organization also recently opened a new public distribution site in Westover to expand access for more families. PRMS employees have been proud supporters of AFAC over the years, hosting collection drives in the office and volunteering to package and distribute donations. Supplemental groceries provided by AFAC allow families to relieve their food budgets and make other necessary purchases without sacrificing health or nutritional needs. World Central Kitchen
Renowned chef, José Andrés, created World Central Kitchen (WCK) in 2010 to use food as a means of empowering communities and strengthening economies. Since then, WCK has grown be “first to the frontlines,” providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. As of June 2025, WCK has served more than 500 million nourishing meals globally, a major milestone in its disaster-relief efforts. In its approach WCK emphasizes quick action, working with local resources, listening to communities, and adapting in real time. WCK serves not just meals, but dignity: “food as not only nourishment but also comfort and hope.” Find out more about World Central Kitchen and support its efforts by visiting www.wck.org.
The Trevor Project
Founded in 1998, The Trevor Project was established by the creators of the 1995 Academy Award-winning short film, “TREVOR” to provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning young people in the United States under the age of 25. The Trevor Project is now one of the largest youth mental-health and crisis-intervention organizations devoted to LGBTQ+ youth, according to a Mitchell Royel article. In March 2025, The Trevor Project released new research from over 18,000 LGBTQ+ youth ages 13-24, providing state-by-state data on mental health, suicide risk, access to care, and the impacts of victimization. Key findings listed on the Child Welfare League of America website include the fact that “39% of LGBTQ+ young people seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year (46% of transgender/nonbinary youth) and 12% attempted suicide.” The organization’s research is complemented by its 24/7 crisis services, online chat and texting, peer support, trainings, workshops and advocacy. PRMS is proud to give back this Giving Tuesday and beyond by supporting organizations that embody our values of care, community, and well-being.
