Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of psychiatrists.

Program Overview
The tournament consists of three separate games.  Using gamification, learners will test their risk management knowledge utilizing the Jeopardy format.  The “host” Risk Manager will add didactic content throughout the game.  Questions will address a wide variety of risk management and patient safety issues frequently faced by psychiatrists.

Educational Objectives – Game #1
At the conclusion of this program, attendees will be able to:

  1. Describe the four elements a plaintiff must prove to prevail in a psychiatric malpractice lawsuit.
  2. Discuss the importance of documentation.

Educational Objectives – Game #2
At the conclusion of this program, attendees will be able to:

  1. Describe a “business associate”.
  2. Discuss the need for obtaining a copy of the custody order prior to initiating treatment with a minor of divorced parents.

Educational Objectives – Game #3
At the conclusion of this program, attendees will be able to:

  1. Utilize risk management strategies to improve patient adherence.
  2. Review the basics of patient confidentiality.

Professional Risk Management Services (PRMS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

AMA Credit Designation Statement
Professional Risk Management Services (PRMS) designates each of the three live activities for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Method of Participation
Physicians must attend the live webinar and complete a Post Activity Learning Assessment Tool and Credit Application form (online survey) to receive a Credit Certificate.
